Lady Tigers lose at home

Southwestern Christian University completed a basketball season sweep of Central Christian College’s women here Tuesday with a 77-53 victory.

The Eagles broke open a close game in the second quarter by outscoring the Lady Tigers, 20-6. Southwestern Christian then scored 25 more points in the third quarter before Central finally caught fire with 20 points in the final period.

CCC’s Caitlyn Campa continued her recent good play off the bench with a team-high 15 points, while Libby Brooks canned four 3-pointers for 12 points.

Eliora Johnson had a monster game for the Eagles with 20 points and 15 rebounds.

The Lady Tigers are now 1-7 and head out on Saturday to play nationally ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan, the No. 13 team in the poll.
