BELLEVUE, Neb. — It was practically a repeat for McPherson College’s men’s basketball team Friday night.

The Bulldogs, who lost to York College 103-81 recently in the Bethel Classic, were again defenseless on Friday against the Panthers in the Bellevue Classic, 108-75.

The Bulldogs, playing without injured big man and inside presence Reed Rowell who is out with a sprained ankle, surrendered 50 points in the first half, 58 in the second.

Chris Crook led Mac with 19 points. Ramon Martinez added 13 and Dee Roberts chipped in with 11. Mac’s season-long cold shooting continued as it made just 24 of 70 shots, 6 of 23 from 3-point. The Bulldogs did have a good night at the foul line by making 21 of 26.

York’s offensive highlight was making 12 of 25 from beyond the arc.

The Bulldogs, now 3-6, play College of the Ozarks today to complete Classic play.

Mac (75) — Crook 19, Martinez 13, Roberts 11, O’Hara 8, Lowe 9, Raleigh 7, Wiltfong 3, Haury 3, Parker 2.

York (108) — Coleman 21, Lenear 19, Price 8, Evans 5, Smith 5, Cooksey 12, Smith 8, Bates 6, Thomas 5, Tolliver 5, Johnson 5, Cole 4, Beene 3, Howe 2.
