Lindsborg has no shortage of holiday festivities this weekend, as the city's celebrations continue on Saturday.
“First would be the artist studio open house,” Mike Drier said. “It's going to be at various locations and galleries around town. It's from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and you can go to the Red Barn Studio or any of the other locations to get a map for all that is going on. The Red Barn is located at 212 South Main Street. Also that day will be the triumphant return of the Snowflake Parade at 11 a.m. in downtown Lindsborg.”
Other events Saturday include an ugly Christmas sweater contest and a coat drive, as well as An Old Fashioned Christmas from 1-5 p.m. at the Old Mill Museum.
Then, on Sunday, Bethany College will present their annual Jultide, subtitled this year A Scandinavian Christmas.
“Again this year, we at Bethany College are inviting numerous members of the community to join in what we are calling an musical and visual representation of a traditional Christmas in Scandinavia,” Dr. Mark Lucas, Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities, said.
The Jultide performance will feature the Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers, Lindsborg Folkdanslag, members of of the Soderstrom Elementary fourth grade and the music ensembles of Bethany College.
Jultide will be held, free of charge, at Presser Hall on Bethany College's campus starting at 4 pm.
