HAYS — Where would the Fort Hays State Tigers be without Kyler Kinnamon?

Recruited as a backup for All-America candidate Craig Nicholson, the freshman Kinnamon has flourished since Nicholson went down with a foot injury.

The former McPherson Bullpup scored 13 points on Monday in an 86-76 victory over York College. He hit a late 3-pointer to open up some breathing room in a close game before fouling out moments later.

Kinnamon scored 13 points, dished out five assists and came up with three steals in his second start of the year. In his last three games, he is averaging 13.7 points.

Fort Hays is 6-2 on the year.
