(KSA 8-248 …find the exact wording Driver’s License Change of Address; (KSA 8-248 …find the exact wording here:http://kslegislature.org/li/b2015_16/statute/008_000_0000_chapter/008_002_0000_article/008_002_0048_section/008_002_0048_k/)

Kansas law requires you must notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of your new address within 10 days of moving. You may do this in person or online at:www.kdor.org/dl/default.aspxAchange

A change of address submitted at the Post Office does not allow you to receive mail from the DMV as DMV correspondence may NOT be forwarded. In the event the DMV must notify you of suspension or other pertinent information the notification will be sent to the address currently on your Driver’s License.

In McPherson, a driver whose license address is incorrect may be cited, but must visit with a District Court Judge to assess fine amount and court cost.

“The Traffic Stop” appears on Tuesdays to address topics of traffic enforcement in the City of McPherson. The Traffic Section of Patrol Bureau organizes “The Traffic Stop” and welcomes suggestions on topics to address. Please send your traffic enforcement questions unrelated to the current topic or topic suggestions to MPD via private messageatwww.facebook.com/McPhersonPD.
