MOUNDRIDGE — Inman opened play in the Moundridge basketball tournament Tuesday night with a pair of losses against Hillsboro.
The Teuton girls put up a good fight, only to be outlasted 42-35. MaKayla Michael and Naomi Williams combined for 30 of the 35 points, with Michael scoring 17 and Williams 13.
Hillsboro led 33-20 after three quarters, but Michael scored eight points in the fourth quarter to make things interesting.
The Hillsboro boys were a 57-38 winner. It was 30-18 at the half and the Trojans extended the lead to 19 after three quarters.
Keaton Case’s 12 points led the Teutons.
Both Inman teams are 0-2 and take on Lyons on Thursday and Moundridge on Friday.
