Even with the ice storm last week, work was still able to progress a little on the Avenue A reconstruction project.
“Forms were stripped and water holes drained,” Jeff Woodward, McPherson City Public Works Director, said. “Minor prep work getting ready to place concrete pavement.”
Crews were also able to place 493 feet of pavement last week on Wastewater Treatment Plant Road.
“From the railroad tracks south and also an additional 387 feet of pavement from the plant to the north,” Woodward said. “That leaves a section south in there of the tracks of about 1,295 feet to complete that section.”
Woodward says that the weather this week should be beneficial to moving the projects along even further.
