McPherson College’s softball hitting camp for youth at the 365 Sports Complex in Inman recently was a big success, according to Bulldog coach Ashley Spencer.
Twenty-seven girls took part as the Bulldogs’ staff and players worked with them to become better hitters.
"The clinic taught our younger generation of softball players proper form and technique to break down their swing," Spencer said. "We were very happy with the turnout and hope to grow it in the future."
Along with Spencer, 22 players from the Lady Bulldog softball team and assistant coach Kim Romero ran the clinic.
"Our players and coaches were very pleased with how this clinic went,” Spencer said. “We are excited to partner with 365 Sports Complex for future camps as well."
The next camp will host high school-level athletes and will take place on Jan. 16. Cost is $40 and the camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Contact Spencer at McPherson College for registration and more information.
