Little River cagers split with Burrton

GOESSEL — Little River’s boys recorded their first basketball win of the year on Saturday with a 41-23 rout of Burrton.

Little River decided the game in the first quarter when it jumped out to a 15-4 lead. It played tremendous defense the entire game.

Jeb Sauer led Little River with 15 points.

The team is now 1-3 on the year.

• BURRTON GIRLS 59, LITTLE RIVER 27 — Burrton charged out of the gates with 34 first half-points.

Allie Peters led Little River with nine points.

The team is now 0-4.
