There will be four ranked teams on the floor Tuesday when McPherson High and Abilene tangle.

The teams meet in Abilene, with the boys’ game pitting No. 3 McPherson against No. 6 Abilene.

Basehor-Linwood has moved into the spot in 4A Division I, with Miege, MHS, Buhler and Spring Hill rounding out the Top 5. Abilene heads the second five, with Labette County, Hays, Andale and Paola rounding it out.

Meanwhile in the opener, the MHS girls put their No. 2 ranking on the line against No. 7 Abilene.

The Bullpups trail only Bishop Miege. Andover Central is No. 3, while the remainder of the Top 10 includes Kansas City Piper, Labette County, Wellington, Abilene, Chanute, Paola and Spring Hill.

The Hesston girls tumbled all the way to No. 6 in Class 3A after their first loss in 43 games on Friday. The Swather boys have that same state ranking.
