Loecker plays key role in OSU victory

STILLWATER, Okla. — McPherson High graduate Katelyn Loecker played a major role in Oklahoma State’s impressive 77-67 victory Monday night over traditional power North Carolina.

The game was aired in McPherson on Channel 34 (2034 with high-def).

Loecker, a junior, scored five points and grabbed eight rebounds in her 29 minutes of play. She made a key 3-pointer in the second half when OSU was starting to make the run that allowed it to pull away.

Brittany Martin’s 24 points and 17 rebounds sparked the Cowgirls, who are 9-0 on the season.

Going into Monday’s game, Loecker had started six games and averaged 20 minutes a game. She’s averaging 5.6 points and 3.5 rebounds.
