LITTLE RIVER — Little River’s boys made a nice comeback against Central Christian, but it went for naught on Tuesday as they lost a narrow 41-37 verdict.

Down 26-13 at the half, the Redskins held the Cougars to a single point in the third quarter, but Central Christian managed to stay afloat for the win.

Clay Zeller and Damien Martinez were much of the offense for Little River with 20 and 14 points, respectively.

• CENTRAL CHRISTIAN GIRLS 31, LITTLE RIVER 23 – In a defensive battle, it was going to be the first team that found a burst that was going to win.

After it was tied at 18-all after three quarters, the Cougars outscored Little River 13-5 in the final quarter.

Allie Peters scored seven points to lead Little River.
