OTTAWA — Former McPherson High football standout Zach Lanning, now at Ottawa University, was named this week to the AFCA-NAIA Coaches All-America second team.

Lanning, who just completed his junior season at OU, was named as a defensive lineman.

Tabor’s Dylan Delk made the first team as a defensive end, the only KCAC player to achieve elite status.

Other KCAC second-team picks were offensive linemen Mitch Butterfield of Friends and Jess Croley of Tabor, defensive lineman Derrick Lawrence of Tabor, linebacker Eric Walker of Southwestern and punter Eddie Juarez of Sterling.
