7th girls still perfect

There was an obvious difference in skill level and experience on Thursday when McPherson’s seventh-grade girls hosted Hutchinson.

The Bullpups allowed only two points in each basketball game.

The A-team was a 56-2 winner. Kassidy Beam and Lexi Kynaston scored 11 points apiece and Lillia Diggs added 10.

The B-team won 44-2 as Katie Berg’s 12 points led the way.

“Another easy night for both of our teams against a Hutch team that is struggling,” MMS coach Jacque Gehrt said. “All the girls played well and contributed. On the A-team, everyone who played, scored. Only two on the B-team didn't score.”

Both Bullpup teams are now 6-0.

Next action is Jan. 7 when Salina Lakewood comes to town.

MMS A (56) — Beam 11, Kynaston 11, Diggs 10, Pyle 6, Godwin 4, Berg 4, Yowell 4, Alexander 2, Allen 2, Bell 2.

MMS B (44) — Berg 12, Allen 8, Yowell 7, Berlanga 6, Bell 5, Cavasos 4, Southern 2.
