SAN DIMAS, Calif. — McPherson College’s men’s basketball team is hoping to build some momentum on its holiday trip to close out 2015 on a positive note.

The Bulldogs outlasted Pacific Life College 78-75 on Thursday as they now have won back-to-back games after a stretch where they lost 10 of 11.

“It was a hard-fought win,” McPherson coach Tim Swartzendruber said. "We didn't shoot the ball well, but we scratched and clawed all the way. Was proud to get the win. Life Pacific played well."

Chris Crook scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs and got to the foul line a lot, making 10 of 11. Ramon Martinez added 14 points.

Also in double figures with 10 points each were Ryan O’Hara, Aaron Bachura and Grant Raleigh.

Mac is now 5-11 on the year. It has today off, then wraps up the West Coast junket on Saturday against LaSierra University, with game time 8 p.m. Kansas time. Mac then is off until Jan. 2 when it hosts Baker.
