KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It didn’t count on the record and it was a loss, but the performance certainly should have made the Bethany College women feel better about themselves going into Christmas.
The Swedes were tied with NCAA Division II member UMKC 42-42 going into the final quarter, but the Kangaroos outscored Bethany 22-9 over the final 10 minutes for a 64-51 victory.
Tiffani Jackson had her best game of the season with 19 points and Kimi Lindshield scored 10. Bethany again played without leading scorer Adriane Davis, out with an injury.
The Swedes are 4-10 at the Christmas break. They are back in action Jan. 4 playing at Haskell, which preps them for a Jan. 7 home KCAC game against Southwestern.
