McPherson College’s women’s basketball team makes its final tune-up Thursday before returning to KCAC play on Saturday.

The Bulldogs, 5-12 on the season, host future KCAC member York College at 6 p.m. at the Sport Center. The Panthers join the KCAC on a full-time basis next season.

York is 5-6 on the year. It hasn’t played since Dec. 17 when it thumped KCAC member Saint Mary 86-73 behind 27 points by MacKenzie Eller, 17 by McCorra Ford and 14 by Greer Kleeber.

York made a whopping 14 3-pointers in the game, which is bad news for Mac as the Bulldogs have had trouble all season defending from beyond the arc.

On Saturday, Mac returns to KCAC action by hosting Sterling at 5 p.m.

The conference actually fires back up on Thursday with five games, but it’s the Bulldogs first-round bye night. The Bulldogs are 3-5 in KCAC play.

The Mac men have Thursday off before also hosting Sterling on Saturday.
