“We got away with a win on both sides,” MHS coach Herb Halinski said. “First meet we were a little jittery. All in all in was a good day, still missed too many spares, but I am pleased with everything. None of the kids gave up and were supportive of each other.”

MHS’ boys won their JV meet by just 50, 1,885-1,835. Sean Birzer was the top Bullpup with 507, while other scores were Austin Stiggins (487), Mathew Gesaman (470), Michael Polasek (391), Devin Hartley (376) and Trey Hett (362).

Andale did not have enough girls bowlers for a JV team. For MHS, scores were Amanda Miller (421), Kalynn Chick (352), Randie Baker (250), Caitlyn Fortner (226) and Kimiko Bullis (219).

MHS is right back in action today competing in the 26-team Wichita Carroll Invitational.
