Jr. Eagles sweep Central Christian

A huge first half propelled the Elyria Christian Junior High boys’ A-team to a 43-34 victory Monday over Central Christian.

The Junior Eagles roared to a 30-19 halftime lead and were up 13 going into the fourth quarter before Central made a small run.

Seth Madron had a monster game with 20 points and five rebounds. Josef Hobson chipped in with 11 points.

The Junior Eagles’ B-team followed the same script, leading 31-8 at the half on its way to a 44-14 rout.

Balance was the key as no player hit for double figures. Madron had nine points in this game, with Kaden Aroum and Bret Anderson scoring eight apiece.
