Lady Tigers fall in exhibition game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Central Christian College’s women took part in an exhibition basketball game on Monday that doesn’t count toward the regular-season record.

The Lady Tigers dropped a 93-46 decision to Rockhurst.

CCC’s Heather Crittenden continued her good play since the break with 18 points and seven rebounds in just 26 minutes. Ashlyn Garza knocked down four 3-pointers to score 14.

Central hung tough for the first quarter, down 21-14, but Rockhurst exploded for a 27-4 second quarter. The fourth quarter also was competitive as CCC was outscored just 18-15.

Central, which is 4-11, is right back on the road tonight to play Barclay College.
