CANTON — The Berean Academy Warriors were tough on Canton-Galva on Friday.

The Eagle girls were overwhelmed in the first half, leading to a 62-21 Warrior victory.

Berean came out on fire, up 36-8 at intermission.

Cassidy Enns scored 12 points to lead C-G.

The Warrior boys were methodical as they outscored the Eagles, 56-30. Berean led 27-14 at the break, but the crusher was a 21-7 fourth quarter.

Zach Snow led the Eagles with eight points, while Travis Unruh had a good game off the glass with 10 rebounds.

“We took care of the ball extremely well against their pressure defense (eight turnovers), and outrebounded them, 26-23,” C-G coach Shane Duncan said. “We got great looks around the rim in the first half and could not get anything to fall. You can't leave any points on the board against a team of their caliber. Unfortunately, four of the our turnovers came at the start of the fourth quarter, which led to a 10-0 Berean Academy run.  Every mistake we made led to points.”
