McPherson City Commissioners gave their formal approval to a fix in the city's new building permit fee structure Monday.
McPherson City Administrator Nick Gregory says the fees for remodels needed to be readjusted after a few permits for residential remodels of basements were issued earlier this month. The new fees will take 35 percent of the cost of a brand-new permit for new builds and 50 percent on all residential and and commercial remodels.
“Excluding any additions,” Gregory said. “Obviously, with any addition, you're adding quite a bit of extra cost associated with that.”
The commission also amended the 2016 fees to include increases in concessions at Turkey Creek Golf Course.
The fee resolution passed unanimously.
