MHS cagers both No. 2 in KBCA polls

McPherson High’s basketball teams remain No. 2 in their respective divisions of Class 4A Division I by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association.

The Bullpup girls trail only Bishop Miege. Wellington has climbed to No. 3, followed by Kansas City Piper and Andover Central.

The second half of the poll includes Labette County at No. 6, followed by Chanute, Abilene, Iola and Circle.

The McPherson boys continue to trail Basehor-Linwood. Hays stays at No. 3, while Paola and Andale round out the top half.

Wamego is No. 6, followed by Buhler, Abilene, Eudora and Bishop Miege.

The Hesston boys are still No. 4 in Class 3A, trailing Osage City, Sabetha and Riverton.

The Moundridge girls are in the upper half of the 2A rankings at No. 5, with Central Plains still holding the top spot. Also ahead of Moundridge are Valley Falls, Olpe and Hill City.
