HARVEY COUNTY -- A Moundridge woman was injured in an accident Thursday morning on I-135 near Newton.

According to Kansas Highway Patrol accident reports, Karen Koehn, 55, was southbound on I-135 about a half-mile north of North Newton in Harvey County at around 7:35 a.m. in a 2011 Toyota when a 2007 Pontiac driven by Kaleb Beaugh, 22, of Salina, came up from behind at a higher rate of speed. Beaugh failed to see Koehn and rear-ended Koehn's vehicle.

Koehn was transported to Newton Medical Center with a possible injury. Beaugh was listed by the highway patrol as possibly injured, but was not transported.

Koehn was wearing a seatbelt, while it wasn't clear if Beaugh was wearing one or not.
