It will be another early day of basketball Saturday for McPherson College when it takes to the road to play Ottawa.
The women start at 3 p.m., with the men at 5. The games will not be aired on 96.7 KBBE-FM due to coverage of the McPherson Invitational Tournament.
The Mac women are hoping to carry their home magic over to the road. The Bulldogs have won six straight at home and are 6-6 in the KCAC, 9-13 overall. However, they have won just twice on the road this season.
Ottawa, which defeated the Bulldogs on a near-halfcourt shot at the buzzer in the first meeting at the Sport Center, has been on a recent slide. The Braves are now 5-7 in the KCAC after being in the upper half for much of the season.
It’s a must-win game for the Mac men, who are 2-10 in the KCAC and 6-16 overall. They still need to pass three teams to make the playoffs and currently they are two games back of Kansas Wesleyan and Oklahoma Wesleyan in the loss column, and two games back of Saint Mary and Bethany.
Ottawa is 7-5 on the year and tied with Sterling for third place.
