GOESSEL — Moundridge’s girls blew out to a big lead, then held off a late charge by Goessel on Friday, 42-37.

The Wildcats were up 30-14 at the half, but scored only 12 points the rest of the way.

Ashley Holler’s 19 points led the Wildcats — 15 in the first half — while Peri Lange scored eight. Coach Brian Holloway said Lexi Lorimor hit a couple of clutch free throws late.

The Wildcats still have only one loss, that in the second game of the year to Hillsboro. They play this upcoming week in the Hilltop Classic at Great Bend.
