McPherson High’s wrestling team has a chance to do something tonight that perhaps has not been accomplished in recent school history or perhaps ever.

The Bullpups can complete a perfect home season when they host Rose Hill for Senior Night.

The action begins at 6 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym.

The Bullpups are 4-0 at home and will be favored against a Rose Hill team that recently lost to Buhler, 54-24. MHS is 11-3 in duals this year.

“I'm having a hard time finding detailed information on Rose Hill,” MHS coach Doug Kretzer said. “They seem to have some open weights and mostly underclassmen. We've got a nice dual team and we really wrestle tough at home. Now were dealing with some injuries and we've really been through a very difficult stretch in our schedule, but I expect us to get after it tonight on Senior Night.”

The Bullpups also can move to 4-0 in AVCTL Division III with one league match left at El Dorado, which opened the year ranked No. 1 in Class 4A.

The Bullpups will honor seniors Cole Kretzer, Caleb Giddings, Kaleb Jost, Seth Spainhour, Ty Goss and Amanda Hanlin (manager).
