VALLEY CENTER — McPherson’s seventh-grade boys got back on track Thursday with a 49-23 victory over Valley Center.
The Bullpups are now 7-5.
Brycen Labertew had his best game of the year with a team-high 10 points.
“We played really well tonight,” MMS coach Tim Hein said. “Max Alexander and Jayton Alexander really dissected their defense sharing the ball. Brycen Labertew was a strong offensive force for us. Dylan Rinker came off the bench and dominated the boards. We have improved on the defensive end, but we still aren’t where we want to be yet. Hopefully we’ll be able to put it all together here at the end of our season.”
The B-team improved to 7-5 with a 42-33 success behind 15 points by Zac Butler and 10 by Adam Elliott.
“This B-team has continued its progression of improving,” Hein said. “Everyone contributed tonight. Offensively and defensively. Mason Stowers showed some real toughness tonight. Blade Anderson did a nice job getting us into our offensive sets. Logan Ediger stood out rebounding on the defensive end.”
