WAKEFIELD — The Elyria Christian Junior High A-team shut down Wakefield on Thursday, 26-15.
Elyria outscored Wakefield 10-2 in the final quarter to pull away.
Zach Stucky had his best game of the year with nine points, one more than Josef Hobson.
The B-team doubled up Wakefield, 32-16. Lane Boerger had a big game with 12 points.
“The Elyria Junior High boys basketball A- and B-teams used a very aggressive man defense to win both games against a very good Wakefield team,” Junior Eagles coach Ernie Heikes said.
The A-team is now tied for second place in the Wheat State League.
