SHAWNEE, Okla. — Zane Howard probably won’t have a better game this season than he did in Central Christian College’s 2016 baseball opener on Friday.

Howard homered and doubled, good for seven RBIs, as the Tigers began the season with an 11-8 victory over St. Gregory’s.

The Tigers were up 6-5 before exploding for five runs in the seventh inning.

Also for the Tigers, Jaime Romeu and Isaac Hill added three hits apiece. Graham Greenback, Laramie Lumley and Caleb Gorman all had two hits.

Doug Gove started, but it was Alan Barker who got the win in relief.
