Tabor College’s 17th-ranked women outscored Central Christian College 53-25 over the middle two quarters to spark an 82-47 victory Saturday afternoon at Alexander Arena.

Central, which dropped to 8-14, had kept the Bluejays in check for a quarter as it was just a 12-8 game. But Tabor then got into its routine and sank shots at a rapid clip.

As usual, the Bluejays’ depth was a key as its bench outscored Central’s 44-8.

Heather Crittenden scored 13 points to lead CCC and Ciara Costello added 10.

Thirteen Bluejays marked in the scorebook with Jurnee Reid leading the way with 14, while Tina Loewen added 12 and Taylor Hurd scored 10. Tabor was the odd team on the KCAC schedule Saturday as it’s nearly clinched the title with a 14-0 conference record

Central play Monday at York, a game originally scheduled for Tuesday.
