LINDSBORG — Smoky Valley product Kimi Lindshield was named Defensive Player of the Week today by the KCAC.
Lindshield’s triple-double of 15 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists for Bethany College on Saturday led the Swedes to a huge 83-79 upset of Oklahoma Wesleyan, which is the third-place team in the KCAC.
Lindshield also had eight rebounds in a loss on Thursday to Tabor, which gave her 23 for the week (11.5). Her defense on Tabor’s Tina Loewen and Oklahoma Wesleyan’s Susan Ageson was tremendous, holding them to a combined 11 points after they were averaging 21.
Lindshield and her Swede teammates invade the McPherson College Sport Center on Thursday.
