The Kansas Legislature confirmed the appointment of Antonio Soave of Overland Park last week to become the state's Secretary of Commerce.
Representative Les Mason, 73rd District, feels Soave is qualified for the post.
“Soave holds a wide range of experience working with rail, construction, oil and gas, biotech and manufacturing,” Mason said. “He also interned in the White House Office of Public Liaisons Department of Foreign Policy and Defense under President Ronald Reagan.”
Mason says the vote to confirm Soave was unanimous at 44-0.
“As vice chair of Commerce, Labor Economic Development, I look forward to future interactions with the new secretary,” Mason said.
