An event held once every four years is this weekend in Lindsborg.

Marsha Howe says the Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers will hold their auction this Saturday at the Trinity United Methodist Church.

“This is Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers' biggest fundraisers,” Howe said. “They have the auction only once every four years and it's usually the winter before the group takes its trip to Sweden.”

Howe says there are 40 high schoolers involved in the Dancers.

“The kids work very hard,” Howe said. “It's a great group of high school kids that participate in dancers and they do everything they can to keep our Swedish heritage alive in this little Swedish community.”

The doors open at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, with the live auction itself to start at 1:30 p.m. The group is trying to raise a minimum of id="mce_marker"4,000 to help with trip expenses for the pilgrimage to Sweden, which is also taken once every four years.
