HOISINGTON — Smoky Valley’s four-game boys basketball winning streak came to an end on Tuesday.
The Vikings were shellshocked by a 25-point first quarter by Hoisington and never recovered in a 73-42 loss.
Brett Heitschmidt scored 13 points to lead the Vikings and Nick Reinert added 10. This is a tough week for the Vikes, who have state-ranked Hesston on Friday.
The Viking girls had another tough night on the offensive end in a 40-23 loss. Hoisington’s girls also used a big first quarter, 19-3, to take command of the game.
