DODGE CITY — It was a strange night in Dodge City on Friday.

McPherson High’s girls saw a 10-point lead disappear in the second half in a 45-39 loss to the Red Demons, only the second for the Bullpups against 12 wins.

Taylor Robertson scored 17 points to lead the Bullpups, who were outscored 21-9 in the fourth quarter.

In the boys’ game, the Bullpups roared back in the fourth quarter after trailing Dodge City by 11 points before eventually winning in double overtime, 75-69. MHS is now 13-1 on the season.

Drew Pyle scored 27 points, Ben Pyle chipped in with 17, and Jacob Loecker and Spenser Wine scored 12 apiece.

Because of no internet access at Dodge and the lateness of the game, complete stories will appear later today.
