LITTLE RIVER — Little River’s boys picked up a nice Wheat State League victory on Friday.
The Redskins used a big first half to key a 49-35 victory over Centre.
Little River sprinted to a 28-13 halftime lead and lived off that cushion.
Clay Zeller had his way on the inside to lead the winners with 23 points. Jeb Sauer contributed 14.
It was a tough loss for the Little River girls, 44-42 in overtime. Very little separated the teams throughout regulation as the margin was zero at the half and one at the end of the third quarter.
Carley Tomlin’s 11 points led Little River.
