ROSE HILL — McPherson High 285-pounder Ty Goss went 4-0 this weekend to take first place in the Rose Hill Invitational.

Goss has established himself as a top contender for the state title. He already has gone up against defending champion Jason Zook of Chapman, so he knows what the best looks like.

Austin Eldredge at 132 was second for the Bullpups and Kaleb Jost was fourth at 182. MHS was 10th as a team.

MHS coach Doug Kretzer has been unavailable for a comment due to work commitments. The Bullpups wrap up the regular season on Thursday at El Dorado.
