McPherson College men’s basketball coach Tim Swartzendruber already has started on his recruiting for next year with the signing of Wichita Independent’s Connor Sevier.

Sevier is a 6-1 guard who earned three letters under the tutelage of coach Bernie Pearson, a one-time Newton Railer standout.

He averaged 11 points during his Independent career, along with four rebounds and two assists.

“Connor comes from a great program in Wichita," Swartzendruber said. "Not only are we pleased to sign someone from a great program, but Connor has shown he is an outstanding shooter and can play several positions. We feel he is a great addition to our program and college. He is a high-character person who has excelled in the classroom as well. It is an honor to have him commit this early and join our Bulldog family."
