The McPherson school district will be searching for two new administrators for the 2016-2017 school year following action taken Monday during the USD 418 Board of Education meeting.
The board voted to accept the resignations of McPherson Middle School principal Kelley Brake and Director of Technology Larry Chaney. No reasons were made available for Brake's resignation, though a letter of resignation from Chaney was included in the agenda packet made available on the district's website.
In that letter, Chaney stated he will be moving to Kansas City with his wife to enable her to complete her doctoral program at the KU Medical Center.
Both resignations were passed 6-0, with board president Chris Weins not present at last night's meeting.
