Central Christian College’s baseball team breezed to an 11-1 rout of Hannibal-LaGrange College here Friday in somewhat cool conditions.

The Tigers pounded out 18 hits in improving to 5-3 on the young season.

Graham Greenback and red-hot Zane Howard both had three hits for the Tigers and both had a triple. Jaime Romeu, Kenny Cordova, Shomari Cann, Laramie Lumley and Kelby Landon all had two hits.

All that offense allowed Andrew Hightower to relax on the mound as he pitched a complete game, scattering seven hits and fanning seven.

The teams meet here again today for two games, the opener at noon.

Central (11) — Romeu 4-2-2-1, Boedeker 1-0-0-0, Greenback 5-3-3-1, Cordova 5-1-2-1. Howard 4-1-3-2. Lumley 4-2-2-3, Cann 4-1-2-0, Landon 4-0-2-2, Gorman 0-0-0-0, Patterson 3-0-1-0, Black 1-0-0-0, Cramer 4-1-1-0.
