LAWRENCE — It was a rough weekend for Central Christian College’s basketball teams.

After being swept on Friday by College of the Ozarks, the Tiger teams also fell twice on Saturday against Haskell.

The Haskell men avenged last week’s loss to the Tigers with a 75-69 victory that dropped CCC to 16-9, 4-7 in its last 11 games.

Michael Gholston was the one Tiger with a semblance of a warm hand, making five 3-pointers on his way to 23 points. Alonzo Stafford scored 14 and Kendric Warren yanked down 10 rebounds.

CCC was just 7 of 22 from 3-point and made only 24 of 61 shots. The Tigers again had no answer for Duelle Gore, who poured in 26 points after burning CCC for 28 last week.

The Tigers stay on the road Tuesday to play Grace University.

Central (69) — Stafford 14, Warren 6, Nwosuh 7, Gholston 23, Clayborn 4, Jackson 3, Burton 5, Robbins 7.

Haskell (75) — Sequoyah 8, Everett 11, R. Moore 9, Moudy 2, Gore 26, Middleton 10, Rudd 2, Candyfire 4, K. Moore 3.

• HASKELL WOMEN 80, CENTRAL 49 — It seems like the Lady Tigers play nothing but nationally ranked teams these days.

The main highlight was point guard Abbie Banks breaking the CCC single-season assist record as she has dealt out 102. Heather Crittenden had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The loss dropped Central to 8-19 and it plays Tuesday at Grace University. The Lady Tigers have dropped seven straight, six of those to ranked teams.

Central (49) — Woods 6, Crittenden 10, Brooks 6, Costello 3, Banks 6, Young 7, Campa 7, Laskowski 4.

Haskell (80) — Livingston 6, Sumpter 23, Buffalo 7, Meat 7, Begay 3, Sloan 5, Murphy 1, Warrior 15, Levier 1, Reyes 10, Coriz 2.
