One of the remaining defendants in the 2014 murder of James Croft has been ordered to stand trial.

The ruling was made Wednesday in McPherson County District Court after a preliminary hearing for Samuel Darrah, 46, who is charged with first-degree murder and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Darrah is slated to have charges formally read on March 4.

Darrah was arrested in connection with the November 2014 stabbing death of Croft, a former Oregon resident who had moved to Galva.

Fellow defendant Kamra Farrell, 28, has also been charged with felony murder and is to appear in court Friday morning for a status conference.
