CONCORDIA — McPherson High volleyball coach Christy Doile has been named to the Cloud County Community College Hall of Fame for her performance during her playing days.

Doile was a two-sport star for the Thunderbirds from 1995-1997.

She still ranks second on CCCC’s volleyball list for digs in a season. In softball, she was a two-year starter as a catcher and was named the Jayhawk West Conference’s Most Valuable Player in 1997. The previous year, she led the T-Birds to the Region VI championship and a fourth-place finish at the national tournament.

Doile has had a tremendous run as McPherson High volleyball coach, including a state championship in 2012. This past season the Bullpups lost in the state finals to Bishop Miege. She also has coached softball during her time at MHS.

Doile and three others will be inducted on Saturday in Concordia.
