LINDSBORG — Two McPherson High wrestlers will be battling for regional championships today during the Class 4A tourney hosted by Smoky Valley.

Austin Eldredge at 132 and Kaleb Jost at 182 are in the finals. Eldredge, third in the state last year at 106, faces Tanner Elias of Colby in his title match.

Jost and Smoky Valley’s Allan Wampler match up for the 182 crown. Jost won all his matches by falls to make the finals.

The Bullpups have three wrestlers in the consolation semifinals — Cole Kretzer, Brynton Crews and Ty Goss.

Smoky Valley’s other wrestlers going for titles are Austin Lustfield and Austin Golden. Lustfield pinned his way to the finals.

Colby, the No. 1-ranked team in the state, is the overwhelming leader. Smoky Valley is in fourth and MHS is sixth.
