NORTH NEWTON — KCAC member Bethel College swept Central Christian College’s softball team in a twinbill on Saturday.
The Threshers used a pair of two-run innings to win the opener, 4-2. The Lady Tigers were led by Kasi Kraus, Mandy Jacques and Morgan Hildebrandt with two hits each. Former McPherson High standout Jasmine Wann had a key RBI triple to spark the Threshers.
Kraus took the loss.
The Threshers jumped all over the Lady Tigers in Game 2, scoring all seven runs in the first three innings of a 7-0 blanking. CCC scattered seven hits about the field, but couldn’t score. No player had more than one.
Cristina Insua took the loss.
Central is now 1-5 on the year. It hosts expected top KCAC contender Kansas Wesleyan on Monday
