OKLAHOMA CITY — McPherson College’s baseball team split on Saturday, defeating Hastings College 5-3, but losing to Oklahoma City University, 11-2.

Mac and Hastings play another game here today. The Bulldogs are 4-5 on the year.

Tyler Bailey threw a strong game against Hastings, going six innings and allowing only one earned run to move to 2-1 on the season. Blake Ware earned the save.

Providing the offense was Lucas Giesey, who doubled and singled, good for three RBIs. Matt Bryan also had two hits.

Against Oklahoma City, the Bulldogs put up a great battle until the sixth inning as OC scored nine runs to break open what had been a tense game.

Dylan Klava was terrific on the mound for five innings before being driven from the game in the sixth as he had allowed only one run up to that time. Giesey had another huge game, going 3 for 3, including a triple.
