Two McPherson County teenagers were injured in separate weekend accidents.

The first accident occurred Friday evening just before 6:30 p.m. when a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Garrett Forsberg, 17, of Lindsborg left the roadway on Kansas Highway 4 one mile west of Coronado Heights Road. The vehicle rolled and came to a rest in a field.

Forsberg was transported to Salina Regional Health Center. He was not wearing a seatbelt according to Kansas Highway Patrol reports.

The second accident occurred just before 8 a.m. Saturday morning in Harvey County on Hesston Road three miles south of Hesston. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Tanisha Willbourn of Moundridge was northbound on Hesston Road when she lost control of the vehicle and veered off the left side of the roadway. The 2009 Mitsubishi Gallant then rolled three times and came to a rest in the roadway.

Willbourn was properly restrained at the time. She was transported to St. Francis Medical Center.
