INMAN — The second annual Teuton Youth Basketball Tournament was conducted recently at Inman Junior and Senior High School, hosted by the Inman Recreation Commission.

There were four divisions with 28 teams taking part.

Helping with the tournament were members of the Inman High basketball teams as they ran the clock and kept the book. The high school and junior high cheerleaders ran the concession stand. Proceeds from the tournament, after expenses, go to the four organizations.

Teams came from all over, as far away as Medicine Lodge. Approximately 700 people attended as tourney spokesman Kevin Neufeld said it was a great day and he also thanked all the volunteers who made it possible.

Champions:

3rd/4th Boys — Sedgwick def. Nickerson in the finals

3rd/4th Girls — Salina Spark def. Smoky Valley for first

5th/6th Boys — Inman def. Huskers 6 in the finals

5th/6th Girls — St. John White def. St. John Blue for the title
