McPherson County Public Works crews are still involved in a pair of projects in the northwest quarter of the county that is closing two roads to traffic.

Bridge replacement is ongoing on Wheatridge Road between Second and Third Avenues, with a second bridge replacement project starting on Seventh Avenue between Pawnee and Pioneer Roads. Those projects are forcing the closure of Wheatridge and 7thAvenue for those sections.

Additionally, crack sealing is being done on 17thAvenue between US Highway 56 and Pawnee Road this week, while shouldering work continues on Smoky Valley Road between I-135 and 24thAvenue.

As always, the McPherson County Public Works Department asks that you use caution in all work zones.
